Awards recognize Hawai'i artists

Nearly 50 Hawai'i Music Awards — to musical artists, technicians and even educators — were presented last night at Kapono's at Aloha Tower Marketplace.

Internet voters chose Raiatea Helm as Hawai'i Music Awards' female vocalist of the year.

The Music Foundation of Hawai'i presents the event, which solicited votes via the Internet.
