Tonight's Must-See

"Cher: The Farewell Tour," 8 p.m., NBC. In 40 years of show business Cher has learned how to be funny and flashy, nostalgic and new. Those qualities blend on her present tour, which she says is her last.

"Lucky," 7 and 7:30 p.m., FX. John Corbett plays a poker addict with a ragged set of friends. This has quirky characters and lots of Vegas flash. Stick with it.

Of note

"Napoleon," 5, 7, 9 and 11 p.m., A&E concludes Wednesday. Here is an epic miniseries with sweeping battle scenes, elegant settings and major people in support.

"24," 8 p.m., Fox. Jack is increasingly convinced that President Palmer is being tricked into triggering a war. Palmer leans toward going on the attack.

"NYPD Blue," 9 p.m., ABC. In tonight's episode, a shootout leaves Jones (Henry Simmons) as the target of an angry mob.

"Independent Lens: Strange Fruit," 10 p.m. and midnight, PBS. The late Abel Meeropol has been described as an immensely angry and funny man. A former New York teacher, he wrote the brilliant song "Strange Fruit" — made popular by Billie Holiday. He and his wife also adopted two boys whose parents (Ethel and Julius Rosenberg) were executed as spies. It's a fascinating story, punctuated with many versions of "Strange Fruit."
