Furlough center escapee sought

The Laumaka Work/Furlough Center yesterday reported that an inmate who had been given a day pass to look for a job failed to return to the facility.

John Sing, 29, is classified as an escapee.

Motorcycle crash victim improving

The condition of a 47-year-old man critically injured Sunday when his motorcycle crashed into the Waiawa Bridge on Kamehameha Highway has improved. The man was listed today in guarded condition at The Queen's Medical Center.

A 42-year-old woman passenger on the motorcycle is in fair condition.
