Tonight's Must-See

"South Park," 9 p.m., Comedy Central. The 100th episode of this sometimes-hilarious cartoon series was co-written by "All in the Family" producer Norman Lear. The boys — utterly uninterested in international events — go to a peace rally to get out of school. They soon find retaliation, homework and a flashback.

"Soul Food," 7 p.m., Showtime. This series depicting the lives of three sisters starts its fourth season. Tonight's best story involves Bird (Malinda Williams). She's being stalked but won't tell her husband, an ex-con who might go too far in protecting her. Meanwhile, Teri (Nicole Ari Parker) is stumped by her man's drinking problem. Maxine's son accidentally walks in on his parents having sex.

Of note

"My Wife and Kids," 7 p.m., ABC. Claire and her boyfriend tell her parents that they're going to have sex. This news is not greeted with approval.

"DAWSON'S CREEK," 7 p.m., The WB. As the series inches closer to its end next month, all four main characters are finding themselves at crossroads. Tonight, Jen discovers a health-related secret her grandmother is hiding, and Dawson moves back home to Capeside.

"AMERICAN IDOL," 7:30 p.m., Fox. Another interminable hour before another inevitable elimination.

"The Bernie Mac Show," 8 p.m., Fox. Bernie tries to apply his chess skills in dealing with the kids.

"Wanda at Large," 8:30 p.m., Fox. The station manager must get the feuding Wanda and Bradley together for a promo.

"Peter and Paul and the Christian Revolution," 9 p.m., PBS. In many ways, these two were opposites. Peter was a rural fisherman, and Paul was an educated Jerusalem man. After the execution of Jesus, however, they were left with the job of keeping a religious movement alive. This documentary traces their efforts.
