• Fishing applications are being accepted through Thursday for the next Nu'uanu Reservoir weekend channel catfish season, scheduled Saturdays and Sundays, beginning May 10. Valid state freshwater game fishing license required. • American Legion Auxiliary annual red Poppy Day orders, for observance May 22 to 24, honoring members of America's military. The auxiliary is urging every elected or appointed public official, and broadcast and print journalists on local, state and national levels, to wear the poppy.
