Key House votes:
1. Striking remarks from record
The House voted 227-195 to keep in the official House record a statement by Rep. Barbara Cubin, R-Wyo., that some colleagues said was racially insensitive. A "yea" vote was to keep the remarks.

2. Gun lawsuits
On Wednesday, the House passed on a 285-140 vote a bill that would protect the firearm industry from lawsuits alleging links between gun marketing and violence. A "yea" vote was to pass the bill.

3. Child protection
The House on Thursday passed, 400-25, a bill that would create a national, child kidnapping notification network and strengthen child pornography laws. A "yea" vote was to pass the bill.

4. Alaska oil drilling
The House on Thursday rejected, 228-197, an attempt to block a plan to drill for oil in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. A "no" vote was to keep the language and permit oil drilling.

5. 2004 budget
The House on Friday passed, 216-211, a $2.2 trillion budget for 2004. A "yea" vote was to pass the budget.

The House on Friday passed, 247-175, a bill that would provide incentives for oil and gas production. A "yea" vote was to pass the bill.

1. 2004 budget
The Senate on Friday passed, 51-50, a $2.2 trillion budget for fiscal year 2004. Vice President Dick Cheney broke the 50-50 tie. A "yea" vote was to pass the budget.
