Freeway closed after body found on freeway

Police closed all eastbound lanes of the H-1 Freeway from about 5:15 to 8:30 a.m. after a woman's body was found below the Queen Emma overpass and a multiple vehicle accident about 100 feet further up the freeway.

Morning rush-hour traffic was being diverted onto the Vineyard Street, Pali Highway and Punchbowl Street off-ramps as police investigated. Police consider it an apparent suicide.
