Man reports robbery at hotel

A 30-year-old Honolulu man said he was hit on the head with a sawed-off shotgun and robbed by three men yesterday morning.

The man told police he was in a Honolulu hotel room when someone knocked on his door at about 6:30 a.m. When he answered, three men forced their way in, police said.

One of the men was carrying a shotgun and he hit the victim on the head, police said. The robbers then covered the man with a sheet and forced him to remain on the floor as they searched the room.

Police said the men took cash and other personal items and fled. The men were in their 30s to 40s, police said.

The three were arrested following a police CrimeStoppers bulletin that showed two girls and a boy at the door of the clinic. Police would not release information on the arrests because the suspects are juveniles.

The case has been turned over to the FBI.
