Speech League holds competition

Nineteen students took top honors at the recent Hawai'i Speech League State Championship and will compete in the National Forensic League Tournament in Atlanta in June.
Individual students winning top honors were:
Humorous interpretation: Diana Wan, McKinley High; and Thomas Burling, University Lab School.
Dramatic Interpretation: No'u Revilla, Kamehameha Schools; and Chantilly Mers, Baldwin High.
Duo Interpretation: Anthony Lui and Channpreet Singh, McKinley High; and Jennifer Ong and Currun Singh, Punahou School.
Original oratory: Anderson Dun, Kamehameha Schools.
United States extemporaneous: Alan Wu, Iolani School
International extemporaneous: Jennifer Saito, Iolani School.
Ted Turner Debate: Jonathan Dang and Forrest Richmond, Saint Louis School.
Lincoln-Douglas Debate: Antonio Baclig, Iolani School; and Currun Singh, Punahou School.
Varsity Policy Debate: Linda Ichiyama and Alison Kadesch, Moanalua High; and Kelly Nakamura and Ravi Patel, Iolani School.
