Tengan resigns as Saint Louis football coach

Advertiser Staff

Delbert Tengan, who guided Saint Louis School to a state football title in his first year as coach, has resigned.

Tengan assumed head coaching duties following the resignation of Cal Lee, Hawai'i's winningest high school football coach.

He led the Crusaders to victory over Castle in the state high school championship. It was Saint Louis' first state title in three years. The previous two season, Saint Louis lost to Kahuku.

Tengan also led the Crusaders to the title game as their basketball coach.
