Hawai'i economic development officials yesterday announced a partnership between city, state and federal agencies aimed at improving the odds of bringing new businesses to Hawai'i.
The idea is to coordinate the state's response to any business interested in relocating to Hawai'i.
The partnership creates a network involving the Small Business Administration, city Office of Economic Development, state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, the Chamber of Commerce of Hawai'i and Enterprise Honolulu.
Under the partnership officials from each group will meet regularly to exchange leads on new businesses. One agency will take the lead and coordinate with the others to ensure an interested business gets the information it needs to make a decision about moving to Hawai'i.
