HAWAI'I'S BACHELOR
Crowd gives Bachelor case of nerves

Kelly Komoda's dating diary from his third time out with the bachelorettes.

Dear reader,

Kelly Komoda got so tensed up that he forgot the names of his remaining dates.

Jeff Widener • The Honolulu Advertiser

Well it's hint-day Wednesday, and I'm still recovering from the weekend's activities.

If you weren't at Ocean's on Saturday, then this diary may clue you in to who won't be going on to the next date. If you were there and know who didn't get chosen, do The Advertiser a favor and keep it a secret until Friday.

Being on stage at Ocean's on Saturday was one of the most frightening experiences that I have faced in recent years. I was so nervous that when I was asked to tell everyone the remaining bachelorettes' first and last names, I completely forgot them. All I wanted to do was give out the roses and get off the stage.

I'd like to thank all the people who were there who didn't throw anything at me and make me look like a complete idiot. Overall, it was a very memorable experience.

Now on to the hints:

Hint No. 1: One of the girls actually did not want a rose in the first place. She was tired of being in the public's constant eye and told me that she did not want to continue. She also said she has to work at the time of the next date and saw no purpose in continuing because of that.

Hint No. 2: The second girl is no ka oi. (Oops, did I say too much?) I am good friends with her now and wish her the best.

Well those are the hints for this week. Hopefully, you figured out which bachelorettes will go on the fourth date. Otherwise, you may have to bug someone you know who was at Ocean's on Saturday to tell you.

The next date is at a day spa where I will get a pedicure, facial and massage. I know it sounds a bit girlish, but I know all of you guys out there wonder what it's like (I do, too.) I'll give the scoops next week.

Speaking of scoops, come down to the Ward Center Cold Stone Creamery, by the Ward Theaters, from 7 to 9 tomorrow night to eat ice cream. It will benefit the University of Hawai'i-Manoa's Psychology Club. I'll be the guest ice cream scooper and will mix in all of the goodies that you want to add.

And aloha means goodbye,
Kelly Komoda

Editor's note: On Komoda's second date, Bella Rosa provided flowers for the dates. In Friday's report, we misidentified the florist.
