Moanalua clinches OIA East top seed

Moanalua clinched a tie for the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Eastern Division regular-season title and the No. 1 seed for the OIA Tournament with a 60-50 victory over host Kalaheo last night.

The Menehunes improved to 9-0, while Kalaheo fell to 6-3.

Moanalua earned the top seed in the OIA Tournament, May 1-9, because it holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over Kahuku (8-1) with one game remaining.

Marleen Leautu scored 17 points for Moanalua last night.
