CAROLYN "SKIP" ANN COOPER, 88, of Pahoa, Hawai'i, died April 21, 2003. Born in Girard, Ohio. Retired registered nurse at Hilo Hospital. Survived by sons, John and Robert; daughter, Carolyn "Bonnie" Amell; sister, Virginia Winfield; brother, Eddie Cekuta; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. No service. Arrangements by Homelani Memorial Park and Crematory.

THOMAS EUGENE COSSEY, 76, of Honolulu, died April 13, 2003. Born in Wanette, Okla. Owner of Pelco Inc. Survived by wife, Winona; sons, Thomas Jr. and Greg Aldrich; brother, Ralph; five grandchildren. Private service held. Arrangements by Leeward Funeral Home.

ELEANOR HARMON DAVIS, 93, of Honolulu, died April 20, 2003. Born in Seattle, Wash. A State Department of Education librarian. Recipient of the Carl XVI Gustaf Medal from the King of Sweden for her book, "Abraham Fornander — A Biography," in 1979. No known survivors. Private service held. Arrangements by Borthwick Mortuary.

DANIEL KANIELA KANINAU SR., 87, of Wai'anae, died April 17, 2003. Born in Kailua, Kona, Hawai'i. Retired diesel mechanic. Survived by sons, Daniel Jr., Darrell and Ethan; daughters, Dancette "Lokelani" Kim and Edith "Nalani" Flinn; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Visitation 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Diamond Head Mortuary; service 6:30 p.m. Visitation also 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary; service 9:30 a.m.; burial 2 p.m. at Hawai'i State Veterans Cemetery. KIMIKO KAUKA, 74, of 'Aiea, died April 17, 2003. Born in Honolulu. Retired waitress for Columbia Inn. Survived by son, Duke; daughter, Lisa Roberts-Kauka; grandson; brothers, Tetsuo and Leonard Onaga; sister, Ruth Shimabukuro.
