Residents end terms on editorial board

Education, the struggles of the legislative session and the difficulties of finding the right path through the challenges of affirmative action dominated the agenda at the most recent Advertiser Community Editorial Board. Members of the Board for the March-April period were:

Kathy Jaycox Sam Sato

Ray Jeffs William Watson
• Kathy Jaycox, executive director of the Ka Pilina Program at UH community colleges.

• Sam Sato, a retiree and recent arrival in the Islands who was formerly in the computer business in the Midwest.

• Ray Jeffs, retired after 31 years with IBM, several of them in Asia, where he founded his own company in Japan.

• William Watson, retired Defense Department employee who has worked in bothnuclear reactor and anti-sub warfare fields, is a Kailua native who still paddles canoes.
