Advertiser Staff

Two women escaped tonight from the women's section of the O'ahu Community Correctional Center, police said.

Police said Kimberly Takata, 33, and Michelle Padilla, 27, had cut a hole in the prison's fence on the Kalihi side.

The women were last seen at 8 p.m. heading west on Nimitz Highway in a black Camero. It appeared that the driver of the car was waiting for them, police said.

Takata was described as 5-foot-5, 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Padilla was described as 5-foot-8, 200 pounds, also with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said the women are not considered dangerous.
