"Quality Time: The Legacy of Tiffany Timepieces from the Tiffany & Co. Archives" at Tiffany & Co., Ala Moana Center, shows off 30 timepieces, including an American Wild Rose lapel watch, pictured above, circa 1889, in gold, diamonds and enamel.

Look for the watch that doubles as a cigar cutter, and one that's durable enough to survive a hunting expedition.

Open today through June 8 during regular store hours. 943-6677.

Yogurt may burn fat

Watching your weight? Yogurt may help crank up your body's ability to burn fat, making it easier for you to lose the flab and maintain lean muscle, says a University of Tennessee study.

Researchers found that people who included light yogurt in their diet program lost much more weight than people who simply reduced their calorie intake, and they were twice as effective at maintaining lean muscle mass.

And scoop this: Yogurt eaters lost 81 percent more stomach fat over 12 weeks.

Van Morrison lu'au

Van Morrison
Heads up, Van Morrison fans: Better run down to Niketown in Waikiki for your tickets to see the creator of such milestone rock hits as "Brown-eyed Girl," "Moondance" and "Gloria," at the Honolulu Marathon's annual lu'au concert, Dec. 12 at the Waikiki Shell.

To get a ticket, at least one of your party must be registered for the Dec. 14 Honolulu Marathon.

A rock Hall of Fame legend, Morrison last appeared in Hawai'i on Feb. 23, 1974 — also at the shell. The Belfast-born singer-composer's career spans five decades.

Until Saturday, early registration is under way at the Waikiki Niketown. With an early marathon registration of $15, lu'au tickets are $15; an additional six tickets for each runner's less physically capable friends may be purchased for $20 apiece.

Kama'aina can register and get concert tickets (if available) at the early rate through May 31. Details: www.honolulumarathon.org.

Last year, the marathon presented Brian Wilson as its lu'au headliner.
