Tonight's Must-See
"Third Watch," 8 p.m, NBC. This season finale starts and ends with shocks. It opens with a car chase that's long, fierce and scary. It ends with a showdown three cops, each with a gun and a different point of view. In between is the passionate collision of the unbending Cruz (terrifically played by Tia Texada) and the conflicted Bosco. It's a great hour with a jolting cliffhanger.
"Manor House," 8 p.m., PBS; continues through Wednesday. For three months, 19 people volunteer to live and work in a 109-room Scottish Mansion as some did in the Edwardian era (1905-1914). The thoroughly modern English volunteers agree to abide by the strict class structures of the period in this reality series. It's a fascinating lesson in history and psychology in a world where footmen are rewarded according to height, no time off is guaranteed, and young people risk dismissal by having a romance.
Of Note
"King of Queens," 7 p.m., CBS. Two veteran comedy masters combine with Shelley Berman as the estranged half-brother of Arthur (Jerry Stiller).
"Everybody Loves Raymond," 8 p.m., CBS. This quietly brilliant series tries a change of pace with an elaborate plot. That starts with Amy's bridal shower and ends up with someone in jail.
"Charlie's Angels" (2000), 8 p.m., ABC. Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu play the three beauties working for a detective agency. The plot is overblown, but the stars are terrific and the director, McG, turned it into a fun romp.
"Crossing Jordan," 9 p.m., NBC. Bucking for a promotion, Woody (Jerry O'Connell) tackles a case in which three seemingly unrelated people have been killed. He finds a connection and confusion.
"CSI: Miami," 9 p.m., CBS. Two college students are dead after visiting Miami on spring break.
