The Winter 2003 Arbitron ratings, which measures radio listenership in Honolulu, were released yesterday, showing little change from the fall numbers despite the usual minor shuffling, with some stations up a few notches and some down.

KSSK-FM's Michael Perry and Larry Price retained their drive-time dominance with just over 20 percent of the audience. The two are the only morning team in double figures, though the rating is down a couple of percentage points from the Fall 2002 figures.

KSSK-FM also snagged the No. 1 spot in the day and evening rating (6 a.m. to midnight), with 10.8 percent of the audience.

KRTR-FM's team of Chris Reiser and Chris Hart, who had jumped to No. 2 last season, dropped back into fifth place with a loss of just over 1 percent of the listening audience.

With the exception of Perry and Price's 2.2 percent drop, all the changes up or down in drive-time were in the narrow range of .6 percent to 1.6 percent.

Most of the same stations appeared in this season's 6 a.m. to midnight top 10 as last season's: Dropping out were KUCD-FM, KIKI-FM, KGMZ-FM. New in the running are KAHA-FM, 105.9, "The Big Kahuna," playing classic rock; KQMQ-FM, 93.1, '80s music; and KXME-FM, 104.3, "Extreme Radio," urban contemporary music.
