Wellness seminar slated

The Rev. Dr. Robert Schuller II will give a free seminar on "Possibility Living" at 7 p.m. Aug. 11 in the Wellness & Lifestyle Medicine Center Auditorium at Castle Medical Center.

The lecture by Schuller, who appears on the TV show "Hour of Power" and is the son of Crystal Cathedral Ministries founder Dr. Robert Schuller I, will kick off a weekly spiritual wellness study series on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m., beginning Aug. 13, using his newest book, "Possibility Living — Add Years to Your Life and Life to Your Years with God." The study series is free; books are available at Castle's Wellness Center for $15.

Psychologist to give 9-11 talk

To mark the anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks, Robert Grant, Ph.D., a psychologist and expert in post-traumatic stress, will give a free hourlong lecture on "The Psychological and Spiritual Dimensions of Post Traumatic Stress" at 4 p.m. Sept. 7, as part of the Mackey Marianist Lecture Series at Chaminade University.

Grant, who has helped victims of natural disasters and has done extensive work with both the victims and perpetrators of abuse, will address the religious and spiritual issues that must be part of the healing process in his lecture and in a free two-day workshop Sept. 9-10 at the Mystical Rose Oratory on Chaminade campus, 3142 Wai'alae Ave. Call Brother Dennis Schmitz, 735-4801.


Group offers series of talks

Christian Harfouche Ministries will present a series of meetings called "The Hawai'i Blessing," to be held Aug. 18-23 at the Dole Ballrooms in Iwilei. It includes morning meetings.
