JULIA M. BATEZEL, 92, of Fort Collins, Colo., formerly of Honolulu, died June 30, 2003. Born in Philadelphia. A former evangelistic singer and longtime secretary, writer/editor for the Federal Aviation Administration. Survived by brother, John Knudsen; daughter, Donna Fay; son, Tony; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Mainland service held. LUCILLE HINANO AKAKA-DENNIS-ECKART, 91, of Rohnert Park, Calif., formerly of Honolulu, died April 20, 2003. A teacher on Kaua'i and at Farrington High School. Survived by sisters-in-law, Antoinette Akaka and Rita Eckart; nieces and nephews; grand nieces and frand nephews; great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. No local service.

Dr. ACCUU KYUNGSIK KIM, Ph.D., 55, of Honolulu, died July 30, 2003. Born in Seoul, South Korea. Survived by wife, Alleen; son, Kkalos; daughter, Sunnee; mother, Keum Nyun; brother, Hyosik; sister, Kyesik. Service 6 p.m. next Saturday at 2055 Kamehameha IV Road.

VIOLET LOOK MOI LAU, 97, of Kane'ohe, died July 30, 2003. Born in Kane'ohe. A former salesclerk at Kaneohe Bakery, Dote Store and Hadley's Bakery.
