Here's a fashionista in the making. Although she's still in preschool, Giulietta Evans makes a fashion statement every day. She loves to layer and accessorize and is unencumbered by fashion rules of any kind.

She turned up for her photo shoot with two suitcases full of clothes, bags, shoes and scarves. She then spread them out all over the studio and started putting pieces together. Her mother, Silvana Alfonso, simply sat by, shaking her head in amusement and amazement. So did we.
Name: Giulietta Evans
Age: 5
Occupation: Student entering kindergarten at Waikiki Elementary School
What I wish I had right now: Long, long braids
My favorite piece: A two-layered Austrian skirt trimmed with rickrack and ribbon she found at a yard sale
I can never get enough: Shoes, especially with a little heel, and red handbags with sparkles
Favorite shopping haunts: Chinatown, Ross, Gap and Goodwill
I love to: Shop at vintage stores and have my mom cut up the clothes and change them the way I want. I also love buying fabric in Rome, where my mom is from, and having her make me things.
Who inspires my look: Cinderella and my mom
Her biggest fashion faux pas: Her mother said Giulietta once put together a ballet tutu, ski hat (the kind with the big flaps, which she wore down), multicolored wool mittens and black patent mary janes. When she demanded that they go for a walk so she could show off her outfit, her mother declined.
