Advertiser Staff

Japan Airlines confirmed it will halt flights to Honolulu from four regional airports starting in October.

The carrier will suspend its current six weekly flights from Sapporo and four from Sendai. It will also halt seasonal flights from Niigata and Hiroshima in November.

The cuts come as part of moves by Asia's largest carrier to reduce the size of its fleet and recover from a travel slump triggered by fears of SARS and terrorism.
