Wie's two-round total of 2-under 140 on the 6,368-yard Philadelphia Country Club course was two strokes behind Korea's Aree Song, who also shot 67 yesterday to take medalist honors.
Wailuku's Shayna Miyajima also qualified for the 64-player match-play field after tying for 43rd place with a 75151 total.
Kailua's Bridget Dwyer shot 79154 and finished tied for 70th. Makawao's Lisa Kajihara shot 78157 and finished tied for 98th.
Heavy rains or lightning suspended play Monday and Tuesday, forcing the completion of the second round until yesterday and pushing back match play.
Two rounds of match play will be held today and tomorrow. The semifinals will be Saturday and the final Sunday.
Wie had six birdies and two bogeys yesterday.
"I wasn't putting so well the day before yesterday, so I just trusted myself and I'm very happy with the way I putted today," Wie said. "I think I could have shot even better because I made two stupid bogeys, but golf can't be perfect."
Wie, 13, plays Maru Martinez of Venezuela, while Miyajima, 21, faces Charlotte Mayorkas of Chula Vista, Calif., in today's first round.
