Probing the surfer psyche "Step Into Liquid" is a documentary that can stoke a surfer's fire. Director Dana Brown — whose father, Bruce, directed "The Endless Summer" — shows the the passion and elation that keeps surfers paddling back for more. Brown's quest to discover what lies beneath the surface of a surfer's mentality takes the documentary to unlikely places. Warning: This is not "Boarding House" and it's not "Blue Crush."
