 •  'Eruption Party' fund-raiser

The Kalani Oceanside Retreat in the Puna District of the Big Island is planning an "Eruption Party" — a fund-raiser with local AIDS organizations — tomorrow at the retreat. The event includes a barbecue, poolside activities and dance music to encourage fun (without illegal substances or alcohol). Prizes will be given for best jungle-volcano themed costume.

Event begins poolside at 2 p.m., barbecue is 6 p.m., dance party at 7.30 p.m. Tickets are $35 (dance only is $20). Overnight packages are also available.
