JUAN SABLAN BORJA SR., 85, of Kane'ohe, died July 26, 2003. Born in Agat, Guam. Retired Pearl Harbor Naval Supply Center systems analyst. Survived by sons Juan "Sonny" Jr. and Wayne; sisters, Sister Maria Dolores Borja and Antonia Duenas; godson, Archbishop Anthony Apuron; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. ELAINE CAROLE BURTON, 58, of Honolulu, died July 25, 2003. Born in Cleveland. A forensic investigator for the Honolulu Police Department. Survived by brother, Dr. Daniel Burton; nieces and a nephew. Service 1 p.m. next Saturday at Diamond Head Mortuary. Arrangements by Williams Funeral Services.

JAMES "JIM" ELZEOR DARROCH, 70, of 'Aiea, died Aug. 4, 2003. Born in Grayling, Mich. A federal mechanic. Survived by daughter, Janell; sons, Kendall and Kenneth; seven grandchildren. CECILIA PORFIRIA DEGUZMAN, 79, of San Francisco, died July 25, 2003. Born in Tulsa, Okla. Survived by hanai daughter, Maggie Perofeta; hanai son, the Rev. Maselusi Perofeta; four grandchildren. EVA BELLE HAYASHI, 89, of Orange, Calif., formerly of Hawai'i, died March 25, 2003. Born in Alden, Iowa. Retired state of Hawai'i social worker with 35 years of service. RALPH DENNIS NORMAN SR., 83, of Pearl City, died Aug. 4, 2003. Born in Livingston, Texas. Survived by sons, Ralph Norman Jr. and Wesley Kokame; daughter, Carolyn Matsuda; seven grandchildren. ELISABETH "TESS" KARLSSON PETERSON, 79, formerly of Kailua, died Sept. 11, 2002. Born in Hildesheim, Germany. She taught art, German, advance math, English and history at the Academy of the Pacific. Survived by husband, Vincent; son, Galen; daughters, Karen, Andrea and Ingrid; five grandchildren. Service 4 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Academy of the Pacific's John Mason Young Building, 913 Alewa Drive.
