ON THE GO: For their Las Vegas debut last week (La Scena at the Venetian Hotel) and this week (Sinbad Lounge of the Aladdin Hotel), Tino and the Rhythm Klub have hometown rooters along — Yemun and Gloria Chung, manager and booking agent, respectively, and light-and-sound person Jeannie Mitsuda. Jack and Cha Thompson of Tihati Productions also dropped by. The Klub will return Aug. 27 to the Sheraton Waikiki's Esprit Lounge, where pals from Las Vegas, including Jonathan Potenciano of Music Magic, and Glynnda and Ricky B of Destiny, heard TRK ...

Makeup artist Lon Bentley flew to Los Angeles last April to pick up a classic Mustang, only to be called by Tom Selleck, whose makeup he handled on "Magnum, P.I." He was told to pack up and head for Calgary, Canada, where Selleck was doing a CBS movie, "Twelve Mile Road." Back in L.A., actor Robert Wagner called him to say Don Johnson wanted his services for HBO's "Word of Honor." He's home now — but dined with veteran actress Maureen O'Hara, with whom he may work in Ireland. ...

His signatures — "The Snows of Mauna Kea" and "The Ko'olaus Are Sleeping" — remain freshly poetic, a reminder of gentler times. If you've forgotten, Larrin quit the club circuit because there was too much smoking, too much competing chatter, too many distractions. With smoking now banned and a core of discriminating diehards eager to tune in, shouldn't he consider a regular regimen? ...

GOOD TIMES: Folks attending the recent Lili'uokalani Church lu'au were regaled with dandy Hawaiian music by Randy and Gay Hongo (marking their 32nd wedding anniversary), Joseph Wilcox and Makaloa, the Pineapple Squeeze, Mahi and Sunbeam Beamer, Van Diamond, Jim Stone, Nalani Olds, Apela and the Prince Kuhio Glee Club. ...

Linda Coble is chairing the all-women Women Drivers fund-raising golf tournament Monday at the Mid-Pacific Country Club, and it's a sell-out to benefit the Healthy Start Diamond Head and Ko'olauloa child-abuse prevention programs. Coble says a wahine tourney has a lot of perks — like registration bags filled with Dior and designer goodies, chilled martinis, Compadres margaritas, Morton's Steak House sandwiches. ...

Frank DeLima is shouting "fore," too, since his Frank DeLima Student Enrichment Program Pocho Shoot-Out 2003 is coming up Sept. 23 at Olomana. He's got space at several price participation levels, so call Loki at 261-5327. ...
