Airline parent to stop filings

Advertiser Staff and news services

Hawaiian Holdings Inc., the parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, no longer intends to file periodic reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission because it does not have "unfettered" access to the airlines' employees and documents, according to an SEC filing made public yesterday.

Hawaiian Airlines filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March, and the operational control has been turned over to bankruptcy trustee Josh Gotbaum. Hawaiian Holdings has talked to Gotbaum about getting access to the information or personnel but there has been no resolution, Hawaiian Holdings said in its filing.

Hotel firm reports loss

ResortQuest International Inc., parent of Aston Hotels & Resorts Hawaii, reported an operating loss of $307,000 from its Hawai'i operations in the three months ending June 30, compared with a loss of $86,000 in the same period a year earlier. Revenues were $12.1 million in the quarter, down 2 percent from $12.4 million a year ago. ResortQuest properties in Hawai'i had 69.9 percent occupancy with an average daily rate of $109 in the quarter.

Founded in 2001, Landmark Networks obtained $3.2 million in venture capital investments in June.
