Tonight's Must-See

"Shania Twain in Concert," 7 p.m., NBC. The country star who packs pop appeal gets a two-hour chunk of prime time tonight. The concert portion was shot in Chicago's Grant Park with a crowd that NBC estimates at 50,000. Also in Chicago, Twain visits a Cubs game and goes on a boat trip.

"The O.C.," 8 p.m., Fox. Last week's show added much-needed depth to some characters. Even Luke, the stereotypical rotten-rich kid, showed some decency. Now come new complications for Ryan (Benjamin McKenzie), the tough teenager abandoned by his mother. Sandy (Peter Gallagher), Ryan's lawyer and friend, scrambles to find the teen's mom. Soon, she's invited to an upper-crust casino night. The culture clash is as hard on her as it has been on her son. "The O.C." is quickly establishing itself as a richly layered drama.

Of Note

"Nefertiti Resurrected," 6 & 9 p.m., Discovery. If you missed Sunday's premiere of this documentary, here's a second chance. The story is fascinating with an Egyptologist convinced she's found the mummy of Nefertiti — wife of a pharaoh and possibly a ruler herself. The only flaw is that a relatively slight story is stretched to fit a two-hour slot.

"American Juniors" finale, 7 p.m., Fox. Voters have chosen the five kids to be in a singing group and now they perform. Also singing are judges Deborah Gibson and Gladys Knight, plus reigning "American Idol" champ Ruben Studdard.

"8 Simple Rules," 7 p.m., ABC. In this rerun, Bridget is allowed to go to a party only if she brings her younger sister, who is in a funk.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," 9 p.m., NBC. This rerun deals with Internet porn and child beauty queens. The body of an 8-year-old is found, sending police on a search for the killer.

"P.O.V.: West 47th," 10 p.m., PBS. Bill Lichtenstein, a former ABC newsman who overcame mental illness, combined with his wife, June Peoples, to direct this warmly human documentary. They focus on several people at Fountain House, a rehab center in New York City.

"Nip/Tuck," 10 & 11:30 p.m . FX. Both doctors face sudden detours tonight. Christian (Julian McMahon) questions his approach to women and attends a meeting for sex addicts. Sean (Dylan Walsh) is facing major changes in his relationship with his wife (Joely Richardson).
