Pedestrian critically injured on Kaheka Street

Traffic investigators and emergency workers converged on the scene of an accident where a 78-year-old man was critically injured last night when he was struck by a car as he crossed Kaheka Street.

Police said the man was walking from the Daiei store about 7:25 and was not in a crosswalk when he was struck.

Officials at The Queen's Medical Center, where the man was taken, would not provide information on the man's condition.
