The estate of James Campbell, Hawai'i's second wealthiest landholding trust, said yesterday it will begin cutting jobs as part of its transition from a private trust to a real estate operating company. The estate terminates in 2007 and its assets will be distributed among 31 direct heirs.
The estate said the job cuts were the result of planned changes that "will enhance our ability to manage our assets."
