Scholar moving to Hawai'i

Ron Youngblood, an internationally recognized Old Testament scholar, is moving to Hawai'i to join the faculty of International College and Graduate School this month.
Youngblood is an authority in Bible translation and served as translator-editor of the New International Version, Old Testament. He is a prolific author of scholarly publications and received the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Gold Medallion Book Award in 1996. Youngblood is chairman of the Board of the International Bible Society.
Youngblood is teaching International College and Graduate School courses on Genesis and the poetic books of the Old Testament.

Church names interim pastor
Pastor Ron Fujiyoshi has been called as interim senior pastor with Nu'uanu Congregational Church for the three-month period when the Rev. Tom Fujita will be on study leave.
Fujiyoshi attended Chicago Theological Seminary and spent many years doing missionary work in Japan for the United Church of Christ Wider Church Ministry. He is known for work with Native Hawaiians. He lives in Hilo, Hawai'i, with his wife, Jeanne.
