Herbert and Paulette (Mon) Huckso of Honolulu celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in Las Vegas on July 14. The couple have four children and three grandchildren. They were married on July 27, 1963, in 'Aiea.

Mary and Tomas Lopez of Lakewood, Calif., announce the engagement of their son, Todd R. Wellnitz, formerly of Waialua, to Debbie H. Do, formerly of San Jose, Calif. The couple plan to marry on Sept. 13 in Morgan Hill, Calif., and live in San Francisco.

Alex Isabella Mieko Nii celebrated her first birthday at a party hosted by her parents, Patrick and Esme Nii, and her maternal grandparents, Raymond and Caroline Infante, on July 26 at her home. Alex was born July 26, 2002. The Niis live in Mililani.
