Henshaw service tomorrow morning

A memorial service for George Herbert "Buck" Henshaw will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Makee family plot in O'ahu Cemetery.

The family requests aloha attire. Donations may be made to the Hawaiian Humane Society.

Henshaw died Aug. 20 at The Queen's Medical Center. He was 85.

Henshaw was a former World War II prisoner of war who went on to become a set designer for TV shows including "Magnum, P.I." and "Hawaii Five-0."

He was the great-grandson of whaling captain James Makee. Henshaw's father, Marshall Brooke "Kelly" Henshaw, founded the law firm Henshaw Conroy and Hamilton, now Rush Moore Craven Sutton Morry & Beh.

Henshaw is survived by his close friend and associate of 35 years, Wally White, and by a niece, Marsha Broadwell Keen.
