New Year's Eve at Hilton to feature Waikiki star

Get out your dancing shoes and get ready to cut loose. The "Footloose" fellow, Kenny Loggins, will headline New Year's Eve at the Hilton Hawaiian Village's Coral Ballroom.

Loggins, whose rock career spans four decades and includes a stint as half of the former Loggins & Messina duo, has been a pop soloist since 1976.

Besides "Footloose" (co-written, incidentally, by Islander Dean Pitchford), Loggins' chartbusters include "Whenever I Call You Friend," "Celebrate Me Home," "What a Fool Believes," "I'm Alright" and "This Is It." "Don't Fight It" (with Steve Perry) and "Heart to Heart." His hits with Jim Messina include "Your Mama Don't Dance," "Angry Eyes," "House at Pooh Corner" and "Danny's Song."

Tickets: $195 (platinum), $160 (gold), $110 (silver) and $85 (general); specifics to be announced. Sales begin Dec. 16.
