Hawai'i Pacific University auditions for the Nov. 7-Dec. 7 production of Arthur Miller's "All My Sons," directed by Joyce Maltby, 7 p.m. Sept. 5, noon Sept. 6 and 7, at HPU's windward campus in Kane'ohe. Rehearsals are scheduled for 7-10 p.m. Monday through Fridays and some weekend days. 254-0853.

University of Hawaii at Manoa announces community auditions for the December production of John Ford's " 'Tis Pity She's a Whore," directed by Dennis Carroll, 2-5 p.m. Sept. 6 on the main stage at UH's Kennedy Theatre. Hawaii Public Radio auditions for "Looking for Linda," an original comedy series, directed by David Farmer, to be broadcast live with a studio audience beginning in November. MUSIC/DANCE

Hawaii State Ballet auditions for students to be admitted to the Junior Program for ages 4 to 10 years for serious training in classical ballet. Auditions held Tuesday through Sept. 6. Program costs range from $38 to $120 a month depending on skill level. Call to schedule an appointment: 947-2755.

PAGEANTS/MODELING

Cherry Blossom Festival of Honolulu is accepting applications for next year's queen contest to be held in March. Applicants must be of at least 50 percent Japanese ancestry, U.S. citizens and Hawai'i residents, between the ages of 19 and 26 and able to participate in pre-pageant classes and appearances. Aloha Entertainment Group seeks females, ages 18-26 with local looks and long hair, to represent Hawai'i in a marketing campaign which will include a national concert tour, music video, TV and print media appearances and promotion of "Island Gurl" clothing line. V International Productions seeks contestants for the Nov. 29 competition for Little Miss (ages 4-8), Junior Miss Glamour Hawaii (ages 9-12), Miss Teen (ages 13-17), Miss Cover Girl (ages 18-29), Male Cover Model (ages 16-29), Miss Petite Teen (ages 13-17), Ms. Petite Hawaii USA (ages 18-30) and Miss VIP, a preliminary to the Miss Hawaii competition, (ages 17-24).
