Weddings

Jennifer Acidera, daughter of Romero Acidera of Waipahu and Joyce L. Acidera of Makawao, Maui, and Morris Tokuji Ikehara, son of Toshio Ikehara of Kaunakakai, Moloka'i, and Tomiko Takaesu of Honolulu were married July 4 at Mama's Fish House in Pa'ia, Maui, where the reception followed. The bride (Kamehameha Schools/University of Redlands bachelor's), now Jennifer Ikehara, is a graphic artist. The groom (Kaimuki High) is an electrician. The couple have one child, Jillian Hokeolani Yuuko Ikehara. The family lives in Makawao, Maui.

Yan-Yan Lau, daughter of Jimmy Lau and Jay and Phoebe Chrisman, and Evan Ira Scherman, son of Dr. Bernard and Mrs. Madeline Scherman, were married June 28 at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hawaii, where the reception followed. The bride ('90 St. Andrew's Priory/UH-Manoa bachelor's), now Yan Scherman, and the groom ('88 Iolani/Colorado State University bachelor's/Hofstra University master's) have one child, Tiana Scherman. The family lives in Kailua.
