Houston will play Warriors in Hawai'i Bowl

Advertiser Staff

UH will play UH in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl on Christmas Day, Conference USA announced today.

That is the University of Hawai'i versus the University of Houston.

The Warriors are 8-4 with Saturday’s game against Boise State remaining while Houston has concluded its regular season at 7-5.

Louisville, which was in line to be UH’s opponent, will be going to the GMAC Bowl after Texas Christian declined an invitation because of a conflict with its exams period.

TCU will play in the inaugural Fort Worth Bowl.

It is the first bowl appearance for the Cougars since winning the inaugural C-USA title in 1996 when Houston went on to play in the Liberty Bowl.

The game, which will be played at Aloha Stadium, will be shown nationally on ESPN.
