Advertiser Staff
Paul Costello, who has served for two years as one of University of Hawai'i President Evan Dobelle’s top aides, will leave UH in January to join Stanford University’s Medical School as chief of communications and public affairs. As vice president of external affairs for UH, Costello created two TV and one radio show to highlight top university events each week, worked to changed the university’s faltering image, and became the top spokes-man for Dobelle.
"I’ll miss UH terribly and I’ll miss Hawai'i. It was a difficult decision in many respects, but the opportunity to be substantially involved in science and medicine at one of the nation’s premier universities was the cincher," he said.
