Aloha offers $149 fares

Aloha Airlines is offering one-way, $149 fares between Hawai'i and California destinations such as Burbank, Oakland and Orange County before and after the busy Christmas travel season.

Tickets must be purchased by Tuesday for travel from tomorrow through Dec. 17 or for travel from Jan. 7 through Feb. 15. Passengers who book online also can get a 5 percent discount.

Aloha's one-way fares are based on round-trip travel.

Chicago-Hawai'i flight added

American Airlines has added a second flight from Chicago to Honolulu.

The new flight will be offered three days a week until Dec. 15 and five days a week from Jan. 6 until Jan. 30. After Jan. 31, American will resume regular daily flights.

American also makes a daily flight from Chicago to Maui.
