How Hawai'i hotels are faring
Advertiser Staff
Statewide hotel occupancy improved last week, helped by increases on all major islands except Maui, according to Hospitality Advisors LLC. Maui led in occupancy at 70.8 percent, but that was down from the same period a year ago. O'ahu increased by about 7 percent to 67.8 percent, while the Big Island and Kaua'i also posted improvement. Maui had the highest average daily room rate at $186.37, although that represented a decline from last year.
