11,000 lose Internet access

Verizon officials today were trying to find out what caused Internet connection problems for nearly 11,000 digital service line customers.Verizon spokesman Bill Kula said the problem began about 9 a.m. todayand lasted about 40 minutes. He did not know exactly where the affected customers were located, but said there was a problem sending and receiving DSL data Hawai'i and the Mainland.
