BUSINESS BRIEFS
State will renew licenses online

Advertiser Staff

The state is encouraging health professionals, barbers and beauticians to use the Internet to renew their licenses and pay their license fees.

About 11,000 health professionals in the state and 8,000 barbers and beauticians must renew their licenses every two years, according to the Hawaii Information Consortium. The deadline in most instances is Dec. 31.

Licenses can be renewed on the state's Web site, ehawaiigov.org/pvlrenew.

Tech exhibition this weekend

A wireless technology showcase will be part of the Sprint Hawaii Sunset on the Planes event Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., at the Kapolei Fairgrounds.

Sprint, sponsor of the event, plans to show the first video mail camera phone available nationally that can take and send video clips.

Astronaut Lt. Col. Carlos Noriega, a space shuttle mission specialist, will be on hand. The Hawaii Aviation Celebration, marking 100 years of air flight, will run in conjunction with Sunset on the Planes.

Admission to both events is free; parking is $1.
