WASHINGTON — Here are some actions in Congress last week.

KEY HOUSE VOTES

1. Spending bill

The House on Monday passed, 242-176, an $820 billion bill that would pay for operations in the Agriculture, Education, Veterans, Housing and Urban Development departments and others for fiscal year 2004. A yea vote was to pass the bill.

Hawai'i votes: Neil Abercrombie (D) NAY; Ed Case (D) YEA

What's ahead: Congress is in recess until Jan. 20.
