• "Bubba Ho-Tep": Elvis and JFK did not die, and today they're roommates in an East Texas nursing home where residents are being killed by an ancient Egyptian Soul Sucker named Bubba Ho-Tep. Opens tomorrow at The Art House at Restaurant Row. (R)

• "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King": At last the full arc is visible, and the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy comes into final focus. "The Return of the King" dispatches its characters to their destinies with a grand and eloquent confidence.
