Aikido

Bowling

Karate

Motor Racing

• Jan. 3-4— Memo Karting Clinic. Champ/Indy Car driver Memo Gidley will hold his annual event at Hawai'i Raceway Park from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Juniors, ages 8 to 16, are on Saturday, and advanced drivers, 18 and up, are scheduled for Sunday. Running

• Ongoing — Free jogging clinic. The Department of Parks and Recreation will be sponsoring two clinics, staffed by experienced runners, on Sundays. The Marathon Training Jogging Clinic will meet at 7:30 a.m. at Paki Hale in Kapi'olani Park. The Central O'ahu Jogging Clinic will meet in odd months at Wahiawa District Park at 6:30 a.m. and at Mililani Mauka Elementary School at 6 a.m. on even months. Softball

• Jan. 9 — Entry deadline for "Send a Kid to Cooperstown Tournament." At Central O'ahu Regional Park, Jan 16 to 19. Three-game minimum in the double-elimination tournament. Divisions: men's upper and lower; women's; coed. Fee: $200. Information: 227-7826.

• Jan. 4, 11, 18 and 25—Girls fast-pitch softball clinic. At Palolo District Park, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fielding throwing, pitching, hitting and running will be covered. Glove and shoes required. Information: 351-1465.



Swimming

• Ongoing — University of Hawai'i Masters Swim Club. At the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. Open to adult swimmers of all ability levels. Morning workouts Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 7 a.m.; evenings, Monday through Friday 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and Monday through Thursday, 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Fee: $40 per month.
