6,600 expected at farm meeting

More than 6,600 delegates are expected to attend the American Farm Bureau Federation's annual meeting at the Hawai'i Convention Center Jan. 11-14.

The convention is projected to generate $21.1 million in visitor spending and $1.75 million in state tax revenues.

Retired Gen. Tommy Franks, former Central Command chief, is scheduled to speak.
