EVELYN KORNBERG, a retired city employee, died Dec. 26. She was 91 years old. Kornberg was active in Democratic politics and in Temple Emanu-El and its Sisterhood. A Hawai'i Kai resident, she worked in senior citizen outreach for the City and County of Honolulu. See story.

IRENE KATHERINE CHANG, 84, of Kane'ohe, died Dec. 27, 2003. Born in Hilo, Hawai'i. Retired waitress at Naniloa Hotel in Hilo. Survived by husband, Lloyd; sons, Robert, Bruce, and Gary Butt and Wendall Chang; daughters, Althea Serrao, Dannette Lono, Candace Keliinui, Carolena Olmos, Cherylmae Simon, Camille Omo and Carolyn DelaCruz; sister, Florinda Perreira; 38 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. WILLIAM "BILL" DUHAY, 79, of Waipahu, died Dec. 19, 2003. Born in Kahuku. Retired from Hickam Air Force Base after 35 years of service.
