A half-hour tape featuring highlights of the 30th Honolulu Marathon will air at 1:30 p.m. today on KHNL.

The tape was produced by Salmini Films of New York. Road-race commentator Toni Reavis hosts the telecast.

The marathon was held Dec. 8. There were 26,477 finishers, making it the world's fourth-largest marathon behind the London, New York City and Chicago marathons.

Kenya's Mbarak Hussein, 37, won his third men's title since 1998, by outsprinting fellow Kenyan Jimmy Muindi to the Kapi'olani Park finish line.

His winning margin was 4 seconds.

Svetlana Zakharova, 32, entered the women's race after having broken the Russian national record twice in 2002, in London in April and in Chicago in October. She didn't disappoint in Honolulu, overtaking another Russian, Albina Ivanova, in the 26th mile. Zakharova claimed her first victory here since 1997.
